Another Round of Funding

Choose Life Wisconsin Issues Another Round of Funding from Sale of Choose Life Plates

Over $97,000 has been awarded to Pregnancy Care Centers in The Badger State

MADISON, WI – Recently representatives from Choose Life Wisconsin have finished distributing the fifth round of grants to Pregnancy Care Centers around the state.

Choose Life Wisconsin license plates have been available to purchase since October 2017. Since that time  the sale of these plates has raised $96,478.  With this recent grant distribution, over $97,000 has been awarded to 38 different pregnancy care centers across the state. Nearly 1,600 of the distinctive license plates have been sold.

Julaine Appling, President of Choose Life Wisconsin, and Dan Miller, Vice President, have made many of the check deliveries in person.

“The Pregnancy Care Centers in our state are doing phenomenal work in helping women, men, and their unborn babies. We see this every time we are privileged to visit these outstanding organizations,” said Julaine Appling. “The funds they receive through the sale of the license plate are being used to expand their reach, increase services and hours of operation, and train nurses to do ultrasounds. We are truly honored to have a small part in their life-saving work.”

Dan Miller, Vice President of Choose Life Wisconsin, noted, “From the very beginning, we pledged that 100% of the funds raised from the sale of the plates would go to Wisconsin’s Pregnancy Care Centers. We’ve more than made good on that because Pro-Life Wisconsin and Wisconsin Family Council underwrite all administrative and overhead costs for Choose Life Wisconsin. Giving the centers the money in person is a highlight for us. Getting tours of the facilities and updates on their work reinforces our commitment to doing what we can to promote the sale of these plates and to give every penny to these centers.”

Nineteen Pregnancy Care Centers received grants in this recent distribution. These centers are located in Appleton, Ashland, Burlington, Chippewa Falls, Fond du Lac, Green Bay, La Crosse, Madison, Manitowoc, Medford, Milwaukee, New Berlin, Sheboygan, Waupaca, Wausau, West Bend, and Woodruff.

Each quarter the state transfers to Choose Life Wisconsin, Inc., the accumulated monies from the $25 per-plate donation.
